Angela Maharaj is an Assistant Director at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) in the Climate Risks and Impacts Branch. Angela is part of the DCCEEW team leading the development and delivery of Australia’s first National Climate Risk Assessment which will inform Australia’s first National Adaptation Plan. Angela was an Office of the Chief Scientist Science Policy Fellow in the Department of Finance’s climate change and energy unit and has previously worked in academia at Macquarie University and the University of New South Wales on various aspects of climate change and variability.
